Lunch Time Arrangements

You have three choices for your child’s lunchtime provision: to take your child home, to have a school dinner or to send sandwiches.  Money is collected each Monday morning and should be sent in an envelope clearly marked with the child’s name, class and amount enclosed.  If there are brothers and sisters, we would be grateful if you would send the money separately for each child.  The price is now £8 per week.  If you feel that your child may be entitled to free school meals, we can supply application forms. We are a Healthy School and our school meals, including drinks, are well-balanced and low in sugar and salt.
We encourage parents who are preparing packed lunches to avoid fizzy drinks and to consider the amount of fat, salt and sugar in what you are packing.  We have a handout outside the school office ‘The Perfect Packed Lunch’ should anyone need further guidance on preparing packed lunches.

Children must stay on their current choice (packed lunch or school dinners) for the whole term.  If parents wish to change the arrangement they need to give two weeks notice to the school office prior to the end of term and remind their child to tell their teacher that they have changed their lunch arrangements.

Lunch Menus

You can now download the lunch menus here

The menus work on a three week cycle which continues throughout the year and do not stop and restart at menu 1 after a holiday. However, since this is a new menu, it will start at menu 1 after February half term 2009
