Joint Announcement by Pennine Juniors Football Club and Norden Community Primary School

Pennine Juniors (PJFC) and Norden Community Primary School (NCPS) have had a long association and have successfully collaborated to provide local playing and training facilities since the club was formed in 2004, with a high proportion of Pennine’s players and coaches being current or previous pupils/parents of the school.

Norden Community Primary School (NCPS) and Pennine Juniors FC(PJFC) are delighted to announce that we will be working together once again to grant access to the school’s high-quality training facilities through the summer months.  This will allow local pupils and players to take full advantage of community facilities at a time of significant disruption to schools and sports clubs.

The Pennine council would like to place on record their gratitude to the NCPS headteacher, staff and governors who have been instrumental in helping the club return to its roots in the heart of Norden.

Pennine’s Chairman Mark Diggle said “We are very pleased to be able to access such an excellent football facility in the village and help Norden’s kids get back to some level normality whilst having fun and keeping healthy”

Rachel Bentham, Headteacher at Norden CPS, said

“I am delighted that we are able to partner with Pennine Juniors again. As a school, we are committed to working closely with the community to offer local facilities to local families.”

The U13`s girls team will be managed by Martyn Smith and Matt Chadderton.
